About the role

Our Insurance Account Executive role involves securing new group benefit clients, providing daily customer service, and conducting annual market analyses during product renewals.
Responsibilities
- Works within the Simmons Referral Network and beyond to generate new leads.
- Promotes and secures new business through referrals, direct mail, cold calling, and leveraging centers of influence.
- Obtains Agent of Record (AOR) letters for all new or taken-over business and enrolls or maintains new/starting businesses.
- Serves daily, weekly, and monthly needs of each group account and its members using necessary technology platforms.
- Secures and presents annual renewals, along with competitive market analyses, covering all lines of coverage.
- Generates monthly reports to management detailing prospecting, new business, and renewal activities.
- Prepares financial reports outlining revenue and expense controls.
- Manages and controls expenses annually within agreed-upon budgets, working closely with management.
- Maintains compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including completing required compliance training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required, preferably with a 4-year college degree in business or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of insurance sales experience, with a strong preference for experience in Employee Benefits.
- Proficiency with MS Office programs such as Excel and Word.
- Excellent PC skills, including proficiency with MS Office programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand financial reports and legal documents.
- Professional conduct and appearance, maintaining client confidentiality.
Skills
- Reading and comprehending simple instructions, memos, and correspondence.
- Writing simple business correspondence, reports, and procedures.
- Responding to customer complaints, regulatory inquiries, and interactions with members of the business community.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma required.
- Preferred 4-year college degree in business or related field.
- 3-5 years of insurance sales experience, with a strong emphasis on Employee Benefits.
Other Qualifications
- Must display professional conduct and maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.
- Must have excellent PC skills, including proficiency with MS Office programs.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
