Become a part of ENERCON as an Instrumentation and Controls Design or Project Engineer. We are seeking talented I&C Engineers at all experience levels, from early-career professionals to principal engineers. Opportunities are available in multiple divisions: Nuclear Services Group (NSG), ENERCON Federal Services (EFS), Data Center Mission Critical (DCMC), and Energy Group (EG). We can discuss full-time, part-time, or temporary roles.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners and coordinate with diverse engineering teams to ensure project success.
  • Develop design studies, prepare engineering calculations and analysis, attend project meetings, perform walkdowns, and mentor junior employees.
  • Create impactful engineering deliverables: produce precise and error-free drawings, calculations, and analyses that exceed industry codes, standards, and client expectations.
  • Develop engineering documents that meet or surpass client, ENERCON, and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously enhance expertise in industry codes, safety culture principles, and advanced design techniques.
  • Deliver exceptional engineering solutions aligned with rigorous quality assurance programs.
  • Build trust and lasting relationships through clear communication and professional engagement.
  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams to create integrated, well-rounded designs.
  • Engage directly with client personnel, perform detailed plant walkdowns, and ensure all structures, systems, and components meet engineering standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a similar Engineering field from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with design of electrical systems (mid-level position).
  • Experience in one of the following industries highly preferred: engineering/design services, power generation, nuclear power, heavy industrial (chemical or pulp & paper), energy, or government (DOE) projects.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor and in teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Senior Engineers typically have 7 years of post-graduate experience in a related role. Principal Engineers typically have 10 years of post-graduate experience. Some roles may require U.S. citizenship due to federal contract requirements. Early-career opportunities are also available for candidates with less than 3 years of experience.

Pay

Compensation range: USD $90,000.00 – USD $185,000.00 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. Some positions may be performed remotely in one or more U.S. states.
