Instructor Pool - 2026/2027: Graphic Design
Job Summary
The School of Visual, Performing and Design Arts (SVPDA), Graphic Design program, invites applications for one or more fixed-term, non-tenure-track full/part-time Instructor positions to teach on a term-by-term basis for the 2026/2027 academic year. Some of these appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses on-campus or through Ecampus.
- Possible courses include; typography, design tools & techniques, interaction design, design thinking, information design, branding systems, package design, professional development, design theory, graphic design history, etc.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree with significant industry experience.
- Record of and/or demonstrated interest in engaging, educating, and mentoring a diverse group of learners and enhancing inclusive excellence through teaching, outreach, or programming.
- Ability to work collegially with other faculty, staff, and students.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- Experience teaching at the college level.
- Evident commitment to educational equity.
- Demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing inclusive excellence.
- History of success in program/curriculum development.
Working Conditions/Schedule
Work schedule may vary depending upon student needs and engagement in campus and/or program activities.
Salary Range
Salary commensurate with skill, education and experience.
