Graphic Design Instructor Pool-Part-Time

Job Description

Teach beginning and intermediate courses in UI/UX design, motion graphics, and responsive web design. Guide students through user-centered design processes for digital platforms, and mobile-first web development. Emphasize conceptual thinking, accessibility, current industry tools, and professional workflows.

Duties and responsibilities

• Ideally courses to be taught as part of our daytime schedule.
• Teach beginning and intermediate courses in UI/UX design, motion graphics, and responsive web design.
• Guide students through user-centered design processes for digital platforms, and mobile-first web development.
• Emphasize conceptual thinking, accessibility, current industry tools, and professional workflows.

Special Requirements

• Any Bachelor’s degree or higher AND two years of professional experience directly related to the faculty’s teaching assignment OR
• Any Associate degree AND six years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member’s teaching assignment OR
• Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area.

Minimum Qualifications

Desirable Qualifications

• Prior College-level Teaching Experience Is Preferred.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with faculty, staff, and community partners to design and implement initiatives that support historically underrepresented, marginalized, nontraditional, multilingual, and learning-disabled students in achieving their educational goals.
