Instructor in Translational Neuroscience

Responsibilities

  • Conducting translational neuroscience research focused on mechanisms of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and neuromodulation using mouse models and human neuroimaging approaches.
  • Designing and performing experiments involving in vivo optical imaging, electrophysiology, behavioral phenotyping, and computational analysis.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of clinical translational research protocols related to ECT and other neuromodulation interventions.
  • Analyzing and interpreting experimental data.
  • Preparing manuscripts and presentations for scientific meetings and peer-reviewed publication.
  • Assisting with mentorship and training of students and research staff.
  • Participating in collaborative interdisciplinary research activities within the Department of Psychiatry and affiliated neuroscience programs.

Requirements

  • Expertise in the specific area of neurophysiology, systems neuroscience, translational neuroimaging, or related fields.
  • An M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent degree.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience with translational neuroscience research, in vivo imaging, electrophysiology, computational analysis, or neuromodulation approaches is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary research environment are highly desirable.

Skills
