Responsibilities
- Conducting translational neuroscience research focused on mechanisms of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and neuromodulation using mouse models and human neuroimaging approaches
- Designing and performing experiments involving in vivo optical imaging, electrophysiology, behavioral phenotyping, and computational analysis
- Contributing to the development and implementation of clinical translational research protocols related to ECT and other neuromodulation interventions
- Analyzing and interpreting experimental data
- Preparing manuscripts and presentations for scientific meetings and peer-reviewed publication
- Assisting with mentorship and training of students and research staff
- Participating in collaborative interdisciplinary research activities within the Department of Psychiatry and affiliated neuroscience programs
Requirements
- Expertise in the specific area of neurophysiology, systems neuroscience, translational neuroimaging, or related fields
- An M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent degree
Qualifications
- Prior experience with translational neuroscience research, in vivo imaging, electrophysiology, computational analysis, or neuromodulation approaches is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary research environment
Skills
