About the Role
This Instructor position in the Academic Support Staff is initially for one (1) year, with continuation and renewal based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). The role focuses on neuroendovascular and cerebrovascular surgery within the Department of Neurosurgery at the Perelman School of Medicine.
Qualifications
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
- Completion of fellowships in endovascular neurosurgery and cerebrovascular microsurgery.
Responsibilities
- Neuroendovascular and microsurgical treatment of cerebrovascular disorders, including aneurysms, AVMs, ischemic disorders of the brain and spine, and hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes at Penn Medicine and affiliated hospital sites.
- Education of medical students, residents, and fellows within the neuroendovascular fellowship.
- Collaboration on clinical research in cerebrovascular and neurovascular technology.
- Growth of expertise in managing complex hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke cases and other cerebrovascular disorders with faculty supervision and mentorship.
- Opportunity to develop skills in building a clinical practice and a referral network.
