Job Description
Develops and delivers customized fitness programs for clients in both in-person and virtual environments, focusing on strength, endurance, flexibility, and holistic wellness. Conducts comprehensive assessments, monitors progress, and provides ongoing motivation and education on proper technique and sustainable lifestyle habits.
Required Qualifications
- Holds current certifications in one of the following: NASM, ACE, NSCA, or ISSA
- Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Professional presentation skills
- Demonstrated basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Sensitivity to appropriately responding to the needs of the community
Essential Functions
- Provides instruction to students and community members
- Develops and presents a curriculum that accommodates all fitness levels
- Sets up and cleans up after each class
- Performs other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in related field
- Demonstrated experience with community-based instruction
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
- The work may be performed in a normal, professional office environment
- The work area is adequately lit, heated, and ventilated
- Work may be partially performed in an environment with sufficient noise that may cause an employee to shout in order to be heard above the noise level
- Work may be partially performed in and/or around a swimming pool requiring the employee to be a proficient swimmer
Set-Rate Non-Bargaining Part-Time Position
This is a Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position with a Set Rate of Pay: $30.00/hour. Requires residency in the state of Ohio and being within commuting distance of the work location/campus.
