Job Description

Module 2: Spin/Cycling
Leads high-energy indoor cycling classes in both in-person and virtual formats, promoting cardiovascular health, endurance, and motivation.
Designs dynamic workouts tailored to various fitness levels, incorporating music, pacing, and performance tracking.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Certifications/licenses, as applicable by discipline
  • Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience
  • Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience

Essential Functions

  • Provides instruction to students and community members
  • Develops and presents the department with a curriculum that provides students with a full experience and is structured to accommodate all fitness levels
  • Sets up in preparation for and cleans up after each class
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Possess basic knowledge of fundamental subject area concepts, practices, and procedures with the ability to apply in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus
  • Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to read, understand, and enforce safety procedures
  • Able to perform an aerobic activity for the duration of the class
  • Demonstrated basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Possess sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of the community

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in related field
  • Demonstrated experience with community-based instruction
  • Professional presentation skills

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

  • The work may be performed in a normal, professional office environment
  • The work area is adequately lit, heated, and ventilated
  • Work may be partially performed in an environment with sufficient noise that may cause an employee to shout in order to be heard above the noise level
  • Work may be partially performed in and/or around a swimming pool requiring the employee to be a proficient swimmer

Set-Rate Non-Bargaining Part-Time Position

This is a Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position, with the following Set Rate of Pay: $30.00/ hour.
