Instructor, Community Recreation (Metro): Module 5
Job Description
Develops and delivers customized fitness programs for clients in both in-person and virtual environments, focusing on strength, endurance, flexibility, and holistic wellness. Conducts comprehensive assessments, monitors progress, and provides ongoing motivation and education on proper technique and sustainable lifestyle habits.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Certifications/licenses, as applicable by discipline
- Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience
- Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience
- Professional presentation skills
Essential Functions
- Provides instruction to students and community members
- Develops and presents the department with a curriculum that provides students with a full experience and is structured to accommodate all fitness levels
- Sets up in preparation for and cleans up after each class
- Performs other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with community-based instruction
- Associate’s degree in related field
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
- The work may be performed in a normal, professional office environment
- The work area is adequately lit, heated, and ventilated
- Work may be partially performed in an environment with sufficient noise that may cause an employee to shout in order to be heard above the noise level
- Work may be partially performed in and/or around a swimming pool requiring the employee to be a proficient swimmer
Compensation
$30.00/hour
Set-Rate Non-Bargaining Part-Time Position
This is a Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position, with the following Set Rate of Pay: $30.00/ hour.
