Instructor - Biology (9M) - 991691
Primary Purpose
Teaches the equivalent of 8 courses in various sub-disciplines of the biological sciences to include courses in general biology, upper-level courses in anatomy and physiology, as well as courses in the candidate’s area of expertise.
Essential Job Functions
- Teaches the equivalent of eight undergraduate courses per year in various formats as necessary (on campus days, on-campus evenings, off-campus, online).
- Participates in curriculum and/or program development, as assigned.
- Be accessible to students, according to College guidelines; maintains regular office hours for student advising and consultation.
- Provides community service and participate in university, college and departmental functions that contribute to campus life, such as athletic events, orientations, receptions, commencements, etc.
- College faculty meetings, and departmental faculty meeting participation are mandatory.
- Continues professional developmental activities.

- Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Proficiency in use of computer hardware and curriculum related software.
- Required Education: Master's Degree Major (if required: Biology or related science)
- Required Experience: Experience or interest in developing online courses. College-level teaching experience.
