About the role
The Department of Biology at Seattle University invites applications for a full-time Instructor position for the 2026-27 academic year. This position is a temporary replacement for current faculty on sabbatical leaves.
Responsibilities
- Teach some combination of introductory courses (BIOL 1610+1611, 1620+1621, 1630+1631), majors courses including genetics, anatomy and physiology, virology, and cell biology, and/or non-majors courses on cancer biology or global health.
- Course assignments will be determined based on the candidate's expertise and departmental needs.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree, or equivalent, in a relevant biological field.
- Undergraduate teaching experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in a relevant field of biology.
- Commitment to undergraduate education and teaching excellence.
Pay
Salary Range: $55,000 – $61,000, dependent on experience.
