Position Summary

This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in Accounting.

Essential Job Functions/Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Perform job duties from the assigned campus/instructional site/work location.
  • Teach courses on-ground at the assigned campus/instructional site/work location.
  • Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide course materials to students.
  • Maintain and submit updated department syllabi prior to the first day of class.
  • Regularly check College email and departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 24 hours except on the weekend.
  • Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions; administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines.
  • Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities.
  • Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar.
  • Work with students as academic advisor as assigned.
  • Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Accounting; OR Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Accounting Topics and a current CPA license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Documented experience teaching at the college level.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the community college mission and needs of the student population.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Accounting courses in a variety of modalities including in-person, hybrid, virtual, and asynchronously online.
  • Demonstrated experience incorporating current technologies into teaching.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a wide range of faculty, staff, and student population.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Rate of Pay

$46,316.00 - $57,895.00 depending on experience
