About the role
This position is a full-time faculty member responsible for delivering quality instruction in Business.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses on-ground at the assigned campus/instructional site/work location.
- Teach courses in other instructional delivery modes, such as online, hybrid or web-enhanced, from the assigned campus/instructional site/work location, based on operational needs.
- Teach a minimum of 15 credit hours per semester within a minimum workweek of 37.5 hours.
- Work with Course Leads, Program Coordinator, and Dean to ensure consistent student experiences.
- Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide accurate and updated course materials to students.
- Engage in program accreditation activities.
- Submit updated and accurate syllabi prior to the first day of class.
- Regularly check College email and departmental mailbox.
- Respond to emails/messages within 24 hours, excluding weekends.
- Complete all required reports such as attendance, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions; administer and return questionnaires and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines.
- Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar.
- Provide academic advising to students with an emphasis on retention and success.
- Remain current in the teaching area(s) through appropriate professional development activities.
- Actively participate on committees within the School of Business and Professional Studies and college-wide committees.
- Collaborate in building and maintaining relationships within and beyond the institution.
Requirements
- MBA or Master in another discipline with 18 graduate hours in Business Administration.
- Three years of business-related experience.
- Documented experience teaching college-level business courses in a variety of modalities including in-person, hybrid, virtual, and asynchronously online.
- Documented experience teaching at the college level.
- Demonstrated understanding of the community college mission and needs of the student population.
- Demonstrated experience incorporating current technologies into teaching.
- Demonstrated knowledge of how Artificial Intelligence can be used in business.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of and experience teaching using a variety of instructional delivery modes.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively and collaboratively with a wide range of faculty, staff, and student population.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and relevant instructional technologies.
