About the role
This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in an equitable environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses via on-ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned.
- Work with course leads and/or program coordinators/directors to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences.
- Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide course materials to students.
- Submit updated department syllabi prior to the first day of class.
- Regularly check NSCC email and departmental mailbox.
- Respond to emails/messages within 24 hours except on the weekend.
- Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions; administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines.
- Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities.
- Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar.
- Work with students as academic advisor as assigned.
- Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
- Current unencumbered Tennessee Registered Nursing license.
- Master’s degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution (preferred).
- Colegiate level teaching experience (preferred).
- Demonstrated commitment to equity and accessibility (preferred).
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of confidentiality statutes and policies as they apply to FERPA and HIPPA.
Pay
$43,066.00 to $53,758.00 depending on experience
