About the role

The position is available at multiple sites across San Juan Unified School District. The role involves supporting students in various educational settings, including elementary, secondary, and adult education/CTE programs.

Responsibilities

• Support students in learning environments, including small and large groups.
• Assist teachers in managing classroom activities and student behavior.
• Provide academic support and guidance to students as needed.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students during instructional time.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid California Class C Driver License (if applicable).
• Pre-qualification through a proficiency exam or CBEST.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with groups of children.
• Instructional Assistant II and III positions require additional qualifications as detailed in the job description.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of child development and special education concepts.
