Responsibilities

• Previous experience working with groups of children.
• Instructional Assistant II's mild/moderate - running small groups, assisting students in large groups in both Special Day Class settings or General Education and supporting the teacher's needs.
• Instructional Assistant IIIs support severe/emotionally disturbed students. Working with students who have a Learning Handicap or Communicatively Handicap programs. Supporting Behaviorists to assist individual students.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and one document [A or B] from the following list: [A] Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam** - testing date must be April 2005 to current. [B] Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
• Two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units) or proof of an A.A. degree (or higher) for Title I sites.
