Job Description
Elementary Instructional Assistant - Calendar 18A - (9 months/year, 206 days/year, 5 days/week)
Length of Work Day: 6 hours
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Qualifications:
- List on application experience that is relevant to this position.
- Instructional Assistant II's mild/moderate - working with students served in Resource, Learning Handicap or Communicatively Handicap programs.
- Example of typical duties include running small groups, assisting students in large groups in both Special Day Class settings or General Education and supporting the teacher's needs.

- *In some programs, possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.
Materials Required/Requirements
- [A] Passing score from SJUSD's Proficiency Exam - testing date must be April 2005 to current. No other school districts proficiency exam accepted. To schedule a testing appointment, click here: Pre-Employment Test
- [B] Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
- [C] OFFICIAL transcripts demonstrating the completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units)
- [D] Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher)
