Elementary Instructional Assistant position located at Cambridge Heights. One permanent, part-time opening available.

Pay

$18.11 - $20.65 per hour (CSEA General Unit Salary Schedule).

Schedule

• 9 months per year (18A calendar), 206 days per year, 5 days per week.
• 6-hour work day, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM.

Responsibilities

Provide instructional assistance in an elementary school setting.

Requirements

• List relevant experience on the application; previous experience working with groups of children.
• Must attach one of the following to pre-qualify:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, plus one of the following:
    • Passing score from San Juan Unified School District’s Proficiency Exam (April 2005 to current; no other district’s exam accepted).
    • Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
• In some programs, possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain, a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire.
• If degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, coursework must be evaluated for equivalency to a degree from an accredited United States college or university.
