- 9 months/year (Elementary Instructional Assistant - Calendar 18A)
- 206 days/year
- 5 days/week, Monday - Friday
- 6-hour work day: 7:45 AM - 2:15 PM
Responsibilities
Instructional Assistant I / II duties supporting elementary education.
Requirements
- Relevant experience working with groups of children (listed on application)
- For some programs: Possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain, a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license
Qualifications
Applicants must pre-qualify by attaching one of the following documents for Title I sites:
- [A] Passing score from SJUSD's Proficiency Exam (testing date must be April 2005 or later; no other district exams accepted). Schedule a testing appointment
- [B] Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
- [C] Official transcripts demonstrating completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units)
- [D] Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher)
If your degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, you must have coursework evaluated for equivalency to a degree/transcripts from an accredited United States college or university.
