$18.11 - $20.65 per hour (CSEA General Unit Salary Schedule, IA I)
Schedule
- 9 months per year (206 days / 18A calendar)
- 5 days per week, Monday – Friday
- 6-hour work day: 7:45 AM – 2:15 PM
Responsibilities
Provide instructional support as an Instructional Assistant I / II.
Requirements
- List relevant experience on the application; previous experience working with groups of children.
- Passing score on the IA Proficiency Test or the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST), regardless of educational background. Applications without test results will not be considered.
- For Title I sites, pre-qualify by attaching one of the following:
- Passing score from SJUSD’s Proficiency Exam (April 2005 or later; no other districts accepted).
- Official CBEST passing score.
- Official transcripts showing completion of two years of college (48 semester / 60 quarter units).
- Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher). Foreign degrees/transcripts must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.
- Possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain, a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire (required in some programs).
