Instructional Assistant - Employment Training Specialists
About the role
The Personnel Commission announces an OPEN and PROMOTIONAL recruitment. This recruitment will result in the establishment of one integrated eligibility list. Promotional candidates will have seniority points added to final passing scores (.25 of a point for every year of classified service up to a maximum of 5 points). This list will be used to fill current and future vacancies and will be active for one year or until canceled. (The names of eligible candidates on the current list will be merged to the new list in accordance with final scores)
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of supportive tasks in the development of job training sites in the public and private sectors of the community
- Aid in the placement of special education student workers
- Facilitate students in the transition from high school to career
- Instruct special education student workers in community job training sites
Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate
- Extensive and demonstrated (paid or volunteer) experience in working with children
- Experience in working with special education high school students preferred
