Tasks and Qualifications
- Manages SME support of Product development, focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People.
- Safety - Must be very safety conscious and provide overall product safety leadership.
- Quality – Focuses the team on high-quality installations – Done right the first time.
- Delivery – Support product development and implementation teams to complete with delivery in a timely manner.
- Cost – Tracking effort to provide costing for new products and tracking effort for alignment with real-world applications.
- People – Actively train and support project resources and provide feedback to the Resource Team.
- Manages SME support of Quality, R&D, and Execution teams as it relates to the following Improvement ideas:
- Deficiencies in manufacturing or delivery
- Improper documentation
- Alignment with costing
- Installation errors
- Drives reporting to completion through the internal Dematic process.
- Develops and delivers product training as it relates to installation.
- Coordinates support for product-related emergencies for customers.
- Coordinates support for the estimating group with project-specific effects to pricing and schedule as it relates to product expertise.
- Actively engages with engineering to standardize execution.
- Supports other training team-related topics, such as tools and process standards, on project sites.
- Coordinates and tracks audits as to the quality of the product installation.
- Coordinates additional assistance with the training of subcontractors in the installation of Dematic and other MHE equipment within the technology of expertise.
What We Are Looking For
- Physically able to traverse construction site environments.
- Willing to travel on short notice and spend up to 75% of the time traveling.
- Associate's Degree preferred or 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and able to navigate MS Project.
- Project Management Training or knowledge of Project Management Methodologies.
- Knowledge of Lean Guiding Principles (TIMWOOD- Transportation, Inventory, Motion, Waiting, Overproduction, Overprocessing and Defects).
- OSHA training or certificate preferred.
- Willingness to work weekends as needed.
- Able to act calmly in stressful situations.
- Understanding personal computer hardware setup and software configuration required.
- Strong planning and coordination skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and able to navigate MS Project.
- Project Management Training or knowledge of Project Management Methodologies.
- OSHA training or certificate preferred.
