About the role

The Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector is responsible for ensuring product standards by inspecting, measuring and testing of materials and parts during the manufacturing process. Responsibilities include conducting quality checks, basic lab equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting throughout the production process. This role also involves disassembling and disposing of scrap materials, filling out reports, and escalating results to appropriate team members.

Responsibilities

  • Support organizational quality objectives by executing daily inspection and documentation procedures
  • Inspect parts and materials to ensure compliance with established specifications and quality standards
  • Measure, verify and analyze data to ensure a quality product
  • Approve or reject material by confirming specifications and conducting visual and measurement tests
  • Document quality findings and promptly communicate results to relevant parties
  • Report investigation/test/containment results in a clear, concise, and timely manner to the appropriate supervisor(s)
  • Maintain equipment regularly to ensure normal operating activity
  • Collect defective parts and materials, secure in designated areas
  • Maintain compliance with internal safety policies and procedures to promote a safe working environment
  • Uphold workplace organization and cleanliness in alignment with 3R5S standards (Right Location, Right Quality, Right Container; Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with QA activities in a manufacturing setting, including use of measurement devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers, and other measuring instruments preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic statistical concepts and methods preferred
  • Knowledge of quality control tools and techniques preferred
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds, able to stand/walk for protracted periods of time

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
