QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTOR I

Responsibilities

• Inspect and document findings for incoming, in-process and final inspection parts.
• Identifies and documents any mistakes or problems associated with the items being inspected.
• Maintains accurate records of all items inspected.
• SUBMIT REPORTS TO THE QUALITY MANAGER REGARDING QUALITY AND ITEMS INSPECTED.
• Utilizes basic test equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, CMM, Keyence, Rockwell Testers, and surface plate.
• Always stays on task with assigned duties.
• Adheres to all employment policies/safety policies/practices required by law/established by Company.
• Wears all necessary Personal Protective Equipment as directed by the Company at all times.
• Maintains and keeps workstation and department area clean.
• Completes all required paperwork timely and accurately.
• Immediately reports any maintenance and/or safety issues to supervisor.
• Maintains respect, courtesy, a positive attitude and professionalism towards all co-workers and the Company.

Qualifications & Knowledge

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Proficient with standard measurement tools, height stands, calipers, micrometers, optical comparators and Quality Inspection methodologies.
• Keyence IM system (preferred)
• Understanding and knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances
• Experience in reading Engineering drawings
• Interact effectively with a variety of people
• General mechanical ability is required
• Possess sound problem-solving skills to help facilitate solutions to problems identified during the inspection process
• Proficient in using Excel, Word and Outlook
• Able to do a full layout of dimensional features
• Experience with ERP system use, preferred
• Able to follow directions and prioritize accordingly
