About the role

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, is searching for an Inside Sales Specialist for their Columbus, Ohio location. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with customers, making outbound calls, and driving results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Cold Calling & Outbound Sales: Maximize outbound calls and talk time to engage prospective and inactive accounts.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with current and potential customers.
  • Achieve monthly sales targets using established company sales programs and guided sales calls.
  • Maintain appropriate commission rate on all sales.
  • Provide accurate reporting on sales, account status, call volume, and commission rates.
  • Collaborate with the outside sales team to support account reactivation and resolve conflicts.
  • Utilize all sales tools and software, including Dialsource Denali, to optimize call processes.
  • Participate in ongoing training on products, sales programs, and effective call strategies.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a desire to succeed
  • Confident with a strong craving to continuously learn new things
  • Can stay focused and organized
  • Customer Service and/or Sales experience is a huge plus
  • Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Microsoft Teams
  • Comfortable with cold calling and sales
  • Comfortable with commission based salary
  • High School diploma or equivalent
