Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to support our Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) operations. This role is responsible for managing customer purchase orders, entering and maintaining accurate ERP data, coordinating order fulfillment activities, and serving as a primary point of contact for customers regarding order status and delivery schedules.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Process, enter, and manage customer purchase orders, sales orders, and related documentation within the ERP system.
- Review and verify quotes, parts, materials, pricing, and order requirements for accuracy.
- Maintain accurate bills of materials (BOMs), customer records, and order history within the ERP platform.
- Monitor inventory levels, production schedules, and delivery timelines to ensure customer commitments are met.
- Coordinate with sales, production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to support efficient order fulfillment.
- Provide proactive communication to customers regarding order status, delivery schedules, changes, delays, and potential issues.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone and email while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Assist with quote preparation, order confirmations, and other sales support activities.
- Track and follow up on open orders to ensure timely processing and shipment.
- Identify and resolve order discrepancies, documentation issues, and customer concerns.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to order management, customer service, and internal processes.
- Perform additional administrative and sales support duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting B2B and/or OEM customers; retail or consumer sales experience alone is not sufficient.
- ERP system experience is required; experience with Cetec ERP or similar manufacturing ERP systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic components, manufacturing terminology, and product specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience within Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) or electronic component manufacturing.
- Understanding of bills of materials (BOMs), production workflows, inventory management, and order processing.
