Key Responsibilities and Expectations
- Drive sales growth and enhance customer service for the region.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of all Distribution-related functions, collaborating with the IPS outside sales organization and OEM partners.
- Process customer inquiries, provide quotations, and enter and manage orders efficiently.
- Select and procure motors from suppliers, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Investigate and resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure optimal performance and service delivery.
- Serve as a technical resource to address and resolve inquiries and problems, leveraging support from engineering and OEM partners as needed.
- Maintain clear and professional client and sales correspondence.
- Handle shipment processing, including preparing, packaging, and shipping outgoing orders using the most cost-effective and efficient methods.
- Manage inbound logistics by receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Oversee inventory management, including maintaining accurate records, assigning storage locations, and managing stock levels.
- Document shipping and receiving activities, generate reports, and maintain organized records for accountability and compliance.
- Process orders and credits accurately and efficiently.
- Aid in inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
- Imply and ensure compliance with company operating policies and procedures.
- Utilize Continuous Improvement Process Solution tools and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers to ensure reliable service and product quality.
- Maintain detailed and accurate notes in order files for reference and follow-up.
Qualifications and Competencies
- High school diploma required.
- Sharp analytical thinking and reasoning abilities.
- Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite as well as Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent time management.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and take appropriate action.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Technical background with electrical and/or mechanical products is a plus.
- 3 or more years of customer service or inside sales experience in an industrial environment or equivalent education preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with current and potential customers and suppliers.
- Critical attention to detail.
