Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound prospecting activities.
  • Research prospective customers and prepare for sales conversations by gathering relevant company and market information.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate fire protection and life safety solutions.
  • Prepare customer quotations, process sales orders, and provide order acknowledgments.
  • Communicate with customers regarding pricing, product availability, lead times, order status, and delivery schedules.
  • Review sales documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate customer, lead, and opportunity information within the company's CRM system.
  • Collaborate with operations, logistics, and other internal departments to ensure timely order fulfillment and resolve customer concerns.
  • Process credit and debit adjustments as necessary.
  • Analyze customer requirements, pricing, costs, margins, and product conversions to support profitable sales.
  • Meet established sales goals while maintaining exceptional customer service.
  • Assist with additional inside sales and administrative responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree, some college coursework, or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of inside sales, customer service, or related business experience.
  • Experience within the fire protection, fire alarm, life safety, industrial, or construction industries is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM software.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and commitment to achieving performance goals.
