We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and results-driven Inside Sales Representative to help grow and strengthen our distribution branch in Alexandria, Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through proactive cold calling, prospecting, networking, and lead development.
  • Grow existing customer relationships through regular communication, account reviews, and identifying new opportunities.
  • Promote and introduce new product lines by working closely with manufacturers, vendors, and branch management.
  • Determine customer requirements and recommend appropriate insulation products and solutions.
  • Provide timely product information, quotations, pricing, and technical support to customers.
  • Present pricing, credit terms, and sales proposals in accordance with company policies and profitability goals.
  • Increase sales through cross-selling, up-selling, and identifying complementary products and services.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity, and opportunities within the company CRM system.
  • Collaborate with vendors to secure product information, availability updates, and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor customer orders and shipments to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Contact customers following sales to maintain relationships and identify future opportunities.
  • Visit customer job sites, offices, and facilities when necessary to strengthen relationships and support business development efforts.
  • Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, product developments, and competitive activity.
  • Identify and communicate market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive threats to branch leadership.
  • Prepare and submit weekly sales activity reports and other performance metrics as required.
  • Assist with branch operations, inventory support, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
  • Confidence making cold calls and developing new business opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Self-starter mentality with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.
  • Comfortable working in a competitive, price-driven market.
  • Resilience and adaptability in navigating supply chain challenges, product availability issues, and changing market conditions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Previous inside sales, distribution, construction, industrial, mechanical, or insulation industry experience is preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to occasionally visit customers within the market.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in sales or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of insulation products and industry trends is beneficial.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Pay

Compensation Range: $13.00 - $30.00
Actual offers depend on factors such as location, experience, skills, and market data.
