Inside Sales Representative

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound customer phone calls during scheduled business hours and provide prompt, professional assistance.
  • Prepare, present, and execute customer quotes in the system, including negotiating pricing and closing deals.
  • Process customer orders accurately and generate complete paperwork to support warehouse shipping for both delivery and pick-up orders.
  • Follow established company protocols and procedures for order processing, documentation, and record keeping.
  • Follow up on previous quotes, track customer interest, and maintain consistent communication to move opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Research and develop new customers using online tools such as search engines and industry directories to identify prospects.
  • Collect customer payments by credit card or cash with accuracy, accountability, and proper documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and long-term loyalty.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to achieve shared sales and service goals, including assisting colleagues in closing deals when needed.
  • Manage multiple quotes, follow-ups, and orders simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.

Essential Skills

  • 1–2 years of sales experience in inside sales, retail sales, or another customer-facing role.
  • Demonstrated inside sales experience, ideally 2–3 years working with customers over the phone or in a similar environment.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills with the ability to convert quotes into confirmed orders.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and verbal communication skills, with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Customer service skills, including the ability to listen, respond effectively, and resolve issues.
  • Able to manage multiple quotes, follow-ups, and orders while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems or similar sales software (preferred).
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Strong, confident personality with persistence in sales and customer service interactions.
  • Reliable, punctual work habits and the ability to follow established protocols and procedures.
  • Solid general computer knowledge and comfort learning new systems.
  • Effective communication and people skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Motivation to learn, grow, and develop within a sales-focused environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service environments such as retail, hospitality, or related industries.
  • Previous experience in a competitive sales environment where goals and targets are emphasized.
  • Interest in building a long-term career in inside sales or account management.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team that supports one another in closing deals.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced setting with changing priorities and multiple customer demands.
  • Willingness to take initiative in identifying new prospects and business opportunities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.19 - $21.63/hr.
