Inside Sales Account Representative | Victor, NY
About the role
As an Account Representative in our New York Branch, you will sell company products and services via telephone, internet, email, and fax. You will work closely with Field Sales Representatives, Product Management, and Sales Management to increase customer penetration and sales opportunities. Success is measured by meeting defined sales objectives, maintaining high ethical standards, and exceeding customer requirements.

Responsibilities
- Sell products and services, including product lines, AIM programs, quality, and value-added services, by building relationships and tailoring the sales approach to meet customer needs. Success is measured through monthly sales reporting, quality objectives, and management reviews.
- Provide price and delivery quotes within customer timelines for assigned geographic territories by collaborating with branch or corporate product managers and manufacturers to secure competitive pricing. Success is measured by booking business at the highest gross profit margin.
- Process customer orders by entering them into the sales database, ensuring accuracy and maintaining quality expectations. Timely processing is critical to avoid loss of parts and lead time with factories, measured by on-time delivery and RMA rate.
- Expand product knowledge using resources such as product literature, factory representatives, product managers, and sales teams to discuss product options and sell TTI’s strengths.
- Participate in the TTI Total Quality process by following defined policies and procedures to maintain an efficient sales cycle, reduce errors, and uphold quality. Measured by the number of lines shipped per salesperson and error-free on-time deliveries.
- Increase the customer account base by compiling lists of prospective leads from various sources and making cold calls. Growth in new customers is expected from these activities.
- Provide management with sales, marketing, and market strategy insights by preparing forecast and activity reports for your account territory.
- Attend sales calls with Field Sales Representatives to build trust and strengthen customer relationships, driving increased sales.
- If designated as a quality representative, resolve discrepant issues by researching, determining appropriate resolutions, and providing disposition for nonconforming product.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree with one to three years of sales experience; or an equivalent combination of education, sales, and/or customer support experience.

- Ability to work with minimal supervision and make responsible decisions.
- Working knowledge of company policies, procedures, and computer systems.
- Typing speed of 40 words per minute.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word).
Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $50,000 to $59,000. This position is also eligible for a monthly commission. Total compensation targeted for this role is $75,000 to $86,000. The wage range considers factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
