Inplant Manager (Sheetfed Ink)
About the role
We are seeking an Inplant Manager to work at our customer's site. This person will serve as a liaison between INX and the customer and will be responsible for many functions, including maintaining INX's on-site ink room and making ink.
Responsibilities
Performing technical service, color matching, ink production and dispensing ink
Making manufacturing batches of ink up to 150 lbs
Conducting Quality Control tests on site-manufactured batches
Managing inventory and performing monthly consignment counts
Maintaining customer satisfaction through superior service
Maintaining good relations with customers
Understanding and resolving any technical problems encountered by customers immediately and documenting appropriately
Directing, coordinating, and planning the activities of INX Inplant Technicians
Communicating and training all INX Inplant Techs on operational procedures, ensuring they are understood and implemented when applicable
Providing continued operational support and conducting inplant quality audits
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Excellent verbal, written, reading comprehension, and math skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs and other computer skills
2 to 5 years in the ink industry, plus 1 to 3 years supervisory experience
Experience with technical service
Ability to match colors effectively and pass a color vision test
Experience manufacturing batches of ink under 150 lbs
Experience conducting Quality Control on on-site manufactured ink batches
Experience with inventory management, record-keeping, and housekeeping
