Job Summary

Technical Skills & Responsibilities

  • Manage the full ink blending process following established management protocols.
  • Perform professional color matching and maintain comprehensive customer formulation files.
  • Cook up and oversee ink deliveries and monitor inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Develop and execute plans to rework press returns and manage obsolete materials.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping for all production, inventory, and formulation activities.
  • Support customer VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) compliance programs through data monitoring and reporting.
  • Establish and monitor stringent housekeeping and safety procedures within the customer location.

Functional & Operational Skills

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the company and the customer regarding product trials and development.
  • Identify and review quality standards in collaboration with key customer personnel during qualification trials.
  • Provide on-site customer service and sales backup to strengthen the client partnership.
  • Manage all personnel functions, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain 24-hour on-call availability to address urgent quality or production issues.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing or production, specifically within ink management or a related field.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Leadership: Proven experience supervising staff in a technical or production setting.
  • Travel: Ability to travel occasionally and manage multi-plant responsibilities if required.
