Inpatient Therapist - PRN/Per Diem

About the Role

Via Linda Behavioral Hospital is an innovative behavioral health hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to the people of Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix, Arizona metro area. Our 120-bed facility provides specialized mental health services and substance use treatment for teens, adults, and older adults experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and co-occurring addictions.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical social services and therapeutic treatment to enable patients to achieve optimal emotional and behavioral health.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments, individual, group, and family therapy.
• Participate in treatment team planning, process commitments, and discharge planning/case management services.
• Make referrals, provide crisis intervention, and act as a liaison with referral sources and other hospital departments.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Professional Counseling.
• Minimum of one to three (1-3) years’ experience working with a psychiatric behavioral health population, preferably in an inpatient setting.
• Knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age-specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, and family therapy theory and practice.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
• Licensure in area of specialty (e.g., LAC, LPC, LMSW, or LCSW) required.
