About the role
Speech Language Pathologist providing direct patient care in a specialized inpatient rehabilitation unit.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop and implement personalized therapy plans based on assessments and patient goals.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing disorders, prognosis, and home strategies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
- Model proficiency by precepting new staff and contributing to a safe, quality-focused environment.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Current certification with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.
