Inpatient Scheduler - Part Time

About the role

The Inpatient Scheduler will prepare therapist work schedules, coordinating with Managers to ensure staffing levels meet patient admissions volume. They will also coordinate inpatient admission evaluations, schedule therapy sessions, and perform rescheduling as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare therapist work schedules, collaborating with Managers to meet staffing needs.
• Coordinate inpatient admission evaluations and schedule therapy sessions.
• Reschedule patient sessions upon cancellations and interruptions.
• Perform other duties to support the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Associates Degree or Certificate in a Medical Administration Program or comparable program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a health care field with knowledge of hospital systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications: intermediate skills in Outlook and Word, basic skills in Excel.
• Strong understanding of data entry and ability to learn hospital information systems.
• Strong customer service skills and effective verbal/written communication.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage tasks.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to handle changing patient and system needs.
• Ability to handle difficult individuals or situations professionally.
