About the role
Cold Spring Brewing is a leading contract beverage manufacturer with facilities across the Southeast, Southwest, and Midwest. This opportunity serves as an Ingredient Control Supervisor, overseeing critical processes like inventory and receiving.
Responsibilities
- Works as liaison between the Company and Customer/s, establishing recipe formulation and kitting timelines.
- Oversees and coordinates the production of Ingredient Kits for beverage production.
- Coordinates and verifies regular Ingredient Inventory counts as required.
- Coordinates and verifies material and supply inventory for Ingredient Control operations.
- Directs personnel in the accomplishment of tasks related to Ingredient Control, Inventory, and Receiving.
- Reports ingredient inventory counts and ingredient loss reporting.
- Oversees and coordinates the movement and storage of ingredients and finished kits.
- Coordinates and verifies material and supply inventory for Ingredient Control operations.
- Trains and leads, as well as communicates effectively with all co-workers.
- Directs employees in preparation of documentation for ingredients being picked up or shipped.
- Provides directions on staging of the ingredients and kits.
- Ensures all aspects of the position are performed to the highest quality, reporting any non-conformance immediately.
- Takes personal responsibility for safety and assists in correcting safety hazards.
- Learns and applies new processes and procedures in area of responsibility.
- Uses company resources efficiently, conserving them according to policy and best practices.
- Reports any waste or poor conservation practices to the Ingredient Control Manager.
- Evaluates and makes suggestions for continuous process improvements.
- Affirms adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and quality production standards.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
- An associate’s degree in an appropriate field is preferred but not required.
- 3-5 years’ Supervisor experience is preferred but not required.
- 3-5 years’ operational and inventory control experience is preferred but not required.
- 3-5 years’ warehouse/forklift experience is preferred but not required.
- Above average math skills are required.
- Above average verbal and written communications skills are required.
- Extended standing on hard surfaces.
- Regular bending, stooping and lifting up to 60lbs.
- May be required to work in small spaces.
- Knowledge of working in Outlook, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and use of customer portals.
- Works in a warehouse environment with dust and variable temperatures; including the operation of forklifts and computer usage.
- Communicate with all levels of employees, vendors, customers and visitors.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: Associate’s degree in an appropriate field, 3-5 years’ Supervisor experience, 3-5 years’ operational and inventory control experience, 3-5 years’ warehouse/forklift experience.
