Supervisor, Production Maintenance

About the role

We’re looking for a Supervisor Production Maintenance to join us in Coppell, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction and mechanical support to all production mechanics as required.
• Makes sure a steady production flow is maintained and equipment repairs are done promptly.
• Maintains parts inventory for all equipment and provides a list of parts to order, including vendor costs.
• Makes sure preventive maintenance is done on time.
• Stays updated on new technology and equipment used by the technical support and production operations departments.
• Takes on management responsibilities in the absence of the Department Manager.
• Makes sure cost per unit targets are met on their shift (labor costs, overtime, inventory control).
• Makes sure machines run efficiently and verifies that work is done correctly, following departmental procedures.
• Maintains records related to department personnel.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or Technical/Trade School.
• 5+ years’ experience in the operation and repair of production equipment.
• Proficiency in the operation and repair of insertion and bindery equipment, electronic and electric circuit experience necessary.
• Electrical and electronics repair a plus.
• Knowledge, understanding and experience of reporting tools Jet/IQ.
• 1+ years’ minimum supervisory experience in a high-volume production environment.
