Responsibilities
- Ensure maintenance programs and support services and that the Regional Hubs operate with 99.95% uptime and availability, reliability and consistency across the Purolator network
- Develop, manage, inspect and oversee Material Handling Equipment / Conveyor maintenance programs to ensure availability and reliability, work order completion and performance
- Cook up schedules for outside contractor repairs
- Coordinate/plan schedules for outside contractor repairs
- Perform periodic inspections of recently maintained equipment so as to observe the quality of the maintenance performed and the operating condition of the equipment
- Maintain a watch on repairs completed by employees for quality standards and productivity requirements
- Identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect operations
- Ensure Computerized Maintenance Management system (CMMS) standardization, formatting & content development
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or other equivalent qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing or equivalent)
- 5 years experience in a supervisory role, supervising and managing skilled trades (i.e., welders, millwrights, electricians, mechanics)
- 5 years experience working with Conveyor systems in a high-volume, 24x7, high-speed package sortation environment
- 5 years experience as a lead-hand or supervisor
Qualifications
Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders.
