About the role
Suite Life Health & Wellness LLC is a rapidly growing, independently owned business that manages a regional network of Ambulatory Infusion Centers specializing in treating patients with autoimmune and other chronic diseases. As the Patient & Provider Liaison, you will develop and execute a territory plan to generate patient referrals from physicians and other healthcare providers, serving as a trusted point of contact for referral sources and their patients. This role is ideal for a self-motivated, highly accountable professional with existing relationships in the local healthcare community and prior sales or liaison experience.
Responsibilities
- Business Development: Educate physicians and their staff on the benefits of referring patients to Suite Life’s Ambulatory Infusion Centers. Generate referrals from Rheumatologists, Gastroenterologists, Endocrinologists, Neurologists, Immunologists, Cardiologists, Pulmonologists, and other specialties treating autoimmune and chronic diseases, as well as case managers and discharge planners. Build and maintain relationships with manufacturers, their sales reps, and others in the medical community.
- Referral Calls and In-Services: Complete sales calls with medical professionals on a regular schedule for new business and nurturing of existing relationships. Use creativity to add value through concise in-services, lunch-and-learns, and interactions to share Suite Life’s services and clinical capabilities. Serve as a trusted resource for the local medical community.
- Community Relations: Develop relationships with patient support groups and organizations to promote Suite Life’s services. Represent Suite Life at community health fairs and networking events.
- Patient and Provider Coordination: Serve as the connection between referring providers, patients, and the Suite Life care team. Help patients and referring offices understand insurance coverage and prior authorization requirements. Coordinate with the clinical team to move referrals quickly from initial contact to first infusion. Provide tours of the infusion suite to referring offices and prospective patients.
- Meetings: Attend sales meetings, conference calls, and training sessions as needed.
- Team Player: Build strong relationships with Suite Life team members and help the company achieve its goals. Liaise with the team to improve processes, reduce burden for patients and referrers, and proactively share the Suite Life story.
- Planning: Independently develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly plans for the territory, focusing on appropriate specialties and treatments. Collaborate with the team to achieve monthly referral goals and hold yourself accountable to them.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of all contacts, interactions, referral volume, and pipeline activity in the Suite Life CRM. Track each referral from initial contact through conversion and measure results against goals.
Requirements
- Established relationships and contacts within the local healthcare or medical community strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in sales, business development, or a liaison role.
- Medical or physician office sales experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorization, and referral coordination in a healthcare setting is a plus.
- Bachelor’s, Associate, or clinical degree preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust quickly.
- Highly accountable self-starter with strong organizational skills and follow-through.
- Comfortable managing your own schedule and pipeline with minimal day-to-day direction.
- Able to develop and maintain strong relationships with key referring specialists and their staff.
