Infusion Nurse Supervisor

About the role

The Infusion Nurse Supervisor at Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating daily operations within the Infusion department to ensure quality patient care. This role also fills in the Registered Nurse role as needed due to staffing issues.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and supervises nursing duties and provides leadership in complying with governmental, accreditation, and other regulations and policies set forth by Pinehurst Medical Clinic.
• Aids in the selection, training, monitoring, and evaluation of the departmental staff.
• Serves as a supervisor for RNs, LPNs, CMAs, or other supportive staff.
• Participates in the nursing care related to assessment, promotion, maintenance, and restoration of patients' health and wellness.
• Maintains and tracks all medications and medical supplies and equipment.
• Develops and implements a nursing plan of care for patients, communicates this plan to patients as prescribed by the physician, and ensures proper scheduling of specialized tests and treatment modalities.
• Collects, reviews, verifies, and completes health care forms related to home health care, referrals, medical equipment, and other patient/physician needs as appropriate.
• Helps maintain patient flow and workflow by working collaboratively with the clinic staff to provide high-quality and efficient service to patients.
• Recognizes patient rights and maintains confidentiality of patient information and dignity through personal performance and relationships with others.
• Collaborates with other disciplines, promotes and supports research activities, and utilizes available resources to provide and improve patient care.
• Attends medical staff meetings as required and participates in quality improvement team efforts.
• Monitors patients' conditions, reports changes, and takes necessary actions.
• Maintains patient areas and working spaces in a clean, neat, and orderly manner.
• Maintains supplies and restocks as necessary and informs appropriate personnel of supply needs.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
• BSN or enrollment in a BSN program is preferred.
• BLS/CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Previous clinical experience in an outpatient infusion setting is preferred.
• Two or more years' experience in a nursing supervisor or manager role is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
• BLS/CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Experience with medical equipment and supplies.

Pay

This position pays hourly (non-exempt).

Schedule

The shift is a Day Shift (Monday through Friday) with no weekends or holidays.
