Job Description And Duties
Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented in response to the status of the State budget. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 1, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly for at least 16 months. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes. Part-time employees are subject to the same conditions as full-time employees, on a prorated basis equivalent to their time-base. Permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same condition as full-time employees, based on the number of hours worked in the pay period.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a Technical Analyst demonstrating an in-depth understanding and level of expertise of IT Services Division (ITSD) Field Operations, Client Services, to perform a wide variety of tasks requiring regular innovative problem-solving.
- Travel to institutions, and after hours support of California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) software applications and systems may be required, due to operational need.
- Maintain confidentiality of information acquired while performing job duties, demonstrate ethical behavior, and work cooperatively with others.
- Monitor mobile phone voicemail and email after hours, to acknowledge and assist with high priority incidents.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and at least 2 years of relevant experience in IT services, including experience with client services and field operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, and basic programming languages such as Python or Java is required. Experience with CCHCS software applications and systems is preferred.
