Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in related field
  • At least 1-2 years of IT experience with the ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with common computer systems and software’s i.e., Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, iOS, Android
  • Ability to provide instructions to end users on how to resolve technological issues
  • Strong problem-solving skills related to technology and common computer issues
  • Understanding of Basic Computer Networking Principles
  • Basic Knowledge of Windows Domains, Active Directory, and Firewalls
  • Able to adapt and learn new software systems quickly on the job
  • Strong communication skills
  • Some weekends required

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to our staff in our many veterinary hospital locations
  • Work directly with the Director of Technology to troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of technological issues
  • Install PC’s and computer related equipment (Monitors, Network Switches, etc.)
  • Record logs of work done and the resolution into specified support queueing system
  • Preform remote and in-person diagnostics and repair software and hardware related computer issues
  • Troubleshoot network related issues for wireless and wired networks
  • Assist with updating and preparation of PC’s for installation
  • Repair and replace computer and server hardware
  • Aid with IT inventory tracking through auditing and data entry
  • Train end users on proper use of technologies such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Basecamp, and other related technologies to their individual clinics
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
