Information Technology Specialist
About the role
The incumbent will work as a technical lead within the Department of Justice (DOJ), Division of Law Enforcement (DLE), Bureau of Gambling Control (BGC) in support of the organization’s complex environment which involves the full lifecycle of end-user device solutions evaluation, configuration, provisioning, training, security, tracking, and support of an end-user computing environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain daily interaction and contact with BGC clients requiring effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Act as a liaison between BGC staff and the Technical Assistance Center (TAC).
Requirements
Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with end-user computing environments, including device evaluation, configuration, provisioning, training, security, tracking, and support is required.
Must have strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
Qualifications
Must possess a valid California driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for travel purposes.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of Windows operating systems and related technologies.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using diagnostic tools and software.
