About the role
This position will be primarily responsible for the Information Technology needs of the Orlando Branch office. In addition, the incumbent serves as a backup to the Office Manager providing assistance associated with facilities, property management, support services, etc.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining network architecture and infrastructure
- Resolving hardware/software interface and interoperability problems
- Implementing policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability
- Monitoring functionality, security, and integrity of internet services
- Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining customer hardware and software
Requirements
- Well-qualified surplus/displaced Federal employees (CTAP/ICTAP) in the local area and current/former Federal employees in permanent competitive service positions (status candidates).
- VEOA eligibles and those eligible for non-competitive appointment under special hiring authority, e.g., Individuals with Disabilities, Military Spouses, former Overseas employees, VISTA/Peace Corps, some Land Management employees, and certain veterans, e.g., VRA, 30% Disabled.
Qualifications
- GS-9: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level in Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped you with the competencies needed to perform the duties of the job. Qualifying experience must demonstrate possession of each of the following competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
- GS-11: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level in Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped you with the competencies needed to perform the duties of the job. Qualifying experience must demonstrate possession of each of the following competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
- GS-12: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped you with the competencies needed to perform the duties of the job. Qualifying experience must demonstrate possession of each of the following competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
