About the role
A leading law firm in Pittsburgh is seeking an experienced Information Technology Manager to oversee the implementation, security, and day-to-day operation of the firm's technical environment. This role serves as the primary technical escalation point for high-impact issues and provides leadership and mentorship to IT staff. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of the unique technology needs of a law firm.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and security of the firm's IT infrastructure, systems, and applications
- Serve as the escalation point for complex or high-impact technical issues, ensuring timely resolution
- Lead, mentor, and develop IT support staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Manage and administer the firm's Microsoft 365 environment, including security configurations, licensing, and user management
- Direct endpoint management strategy, including deployment, patching, and lifecycle management of firm devices
- Own cybersecurity operations for the firm, including monitoring, threat response, vulnerability management, and adherence to industry best practices
- Partner with firm leadership to develop and execute the firm's technology roadmap and budget
- Ensure IT policies, procedures, and disaster recovery/business continuity plans are current and effective
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and managed service providers as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience, including prior supervisory or team lead responsibility
- Strong background in endpoint management and security, including tools such as Intune and endpoint detection and response platforms
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threat monitoring, incident response, and risk mitigation
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop technical staff
- Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment is a strong plus
