As the IT Manager, you will build and lead EEI's internal technology function while helping our growing organization scale efficiently, securely while working closely with leadership. This role will serve as the bridge between our employees, leadership team, and external technology partners, ensuring that the systems, support, infrastructure, and cybersecurity measures that power our business meet both current and future needs. You will help strengthen internal ownership of technology operations, improve our employee support experience, enhance cybersecurity, governance practices, develop scalable processes and systems, and guide future technology investments. We are looking for someone that is a passionate, hands-on technology leader who can build structure, solve problems, develop teams, improve processes, and balance strategic planning with practical execution to drive meaningful organizational improvements. Annual Compensation Range: $123,000 - $152,000 / yearThe above salary range is based on the Denver, CO labor market and subject to change based on location. This position is open to local, hybrid candidates in Lakewood, CO. Essential Responsibilities:IT Strategy & Organizational Technology LeadershipDevelop and execute EEI's technology strategy in alignment with business objectives and growth initiatives.Serve as the primary internal technology advisor to leadership regarding systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operational technology needs.Lead EEI’s internal technology strategy and operations, strengthening systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, governance, vendor partnerships, and employee support as the organization continues to grow.Build scalable technology processes and future IT team capabilities while driving projects, AI adoption, change management, and cross-functional improvements that enhance efficiency, security, and the employee experience. Vendor & Managed Service Provider Management Serve as the primary liaison between EEI and external technology providers, consultants, and managed service partners.Establish service expectations, accountability measures, and performance standards for technology vendors while identifying opportunities to optimize vendor relationships and increase internal capability and ownership.Coordinate issue resolution, escalation management, and continuous improvement efforts with external technology partners.Review and manage software subscriptions, support agreements, licensing, and technology contracts. Infrastructure, Systems, AI, & Cybersecurity ManagementOversee EEI's network infrastructure, cloud environments, telecommunications systems, business applications, and endpoint technologiesManage cybersecurity policies, risk mitigation, incident response, system reliability, backups, and disaster recovery readiness.Manage technology asset inventories, lifecycle planning, equipment procurement, and hardware deployment.Support AI adoption and innovation through change management, stakeholder engagement, and awareness of emerging best practices. IT Operations & Employee SupportLead the delivery of responsive, high-quality technology support to employees across the organization.Improve onboarding, provisioning, and technology deployment processes for new hires.Develop and implement scalable support models, including ticketing systems and service management processes.Support employee education and technology adoption through training, communication, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Project Management & Team DevelopmentLead technology projects from planning through implementation, adoption, and ongoing support.Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving technology, operations, finance, and People Services.Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, risk assessments, and communication strategies.Lead change management, develop future IT talent, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and service. Qualifications:RequiredBachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.7+ years of progressive experience supporting enterprise technology environments.3+ years of leadership experience managing technology initiatives, vendors, technical resources, or support teams.Experience overseeing infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud-based platforms, and business applications.Experience managing third-party technology providers, consultants, and vendor relationships.Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, endpoint management, and enterprise collaboration technologies.Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. PreferredExperience building or scaling an internal IT function within a growing organization.Experience implementing IT service management methodologies, ticketing platforms, or help desk frameworks.Experience supporting distributed or multi-location workforces.Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, Microsoft certifications, PMP, or equivalent credentials Working Conditions:Typical Travel: Minimal: Up to 10%Work Environment: Typical office environment; occasional field interaction may be required.Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods, work on a computer, and occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
