About the role

This is a 12-month program of learning and job experience for job seekers who have a documented disability.

Responsibilities

  • Support IT asset Inventory.
  • Responsible for set up of new systems and rebuild of old systems.
  • Set up end user profiles.
  • Install/configure software and firmware updates.
  • Contact vendors for hardware support.
  • Schedule and deploy systems to end users.
  • Aid end users with logging to systems.
  • Enter support tickets and answer phones.
  • Field incoming requests for support via phone, e-mail, and in-person to ensure courteous, timely and effective resolution of end user issues.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
  • Knowledge of basic computer hardware, including installation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with desktop Windows 10 and server operating systems.
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Good customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly talk or hear.
  • Frequently stand; use hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop and kneel.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
