Governance framework
You will develop the standards, templates, naming conventions, and the approval process that delineates what can be self-served and what requires architecture review.
Deployment risk model
You will create the ruleset that ensures end-user code remains isolated from production environments, adhering to proper review processes before deployment.
End user enablement
- Guided paths for business users to build simple tools themselves with sanctioned access, without needing to open tickets repeatedly.
Application delivery
- Developing working dashboards, data tools, forms, and utilities that are documented for reuse by others.
Skills Required
- Python: scripting and lightweight web apps (Flask, Streamlit)
- HTML, CSS, and JavaScript: functional interfaces without heavy frameworks
- Node.js: lightweight server-side logic and simple APIs
- SQL: pulling from Snowflake and other sources regularly
- JSON and REST API consumption using pre-approved IT-published endpoints
- Git: tracking changes to ensure only approved code deploys
- Basic AWS: S3, Lambda, and IAM
- Documentation: clear writing and policies as source of truth
What We Are Looking For
- Experience building real things for real users
- Thoughtful consideration of data impact when building code
- IT co-op or internship experience in manufacturing or industrial companies
- Projects where you've trained users on new tools
- ERP or enterprise system exposure (even read-only)
- Documentation or SOP writing experience
Background That Gets Our Attention
- Experience governing AI-generated code rather than just running it
- SAP or ERP data familiarity
- Manufacturing environment experience even outside of IT
